Registration

Please join KCPA for a virtual fundraiser to benefit Harvester's Food from the Bar!  Event registration is $10 and comes with one Bingo card.  Additional cards may be purchased for $5 each and there is no limit on the number you can purchase.  All proceeds collected will be donated to Harvester's Food from the Bar.  This event is open to anyone who wants to attend, and KCPA will match donations up to $1,000!  Please feel free to forward this invitation to anyone that might want to join us!

Please contact Erin or Melanie with how many additional Bingo cards you’d like to purchase.  Melanie will send you an invoice to be paid online.  Once you have paid, prior to the event, you will be sent your virtual Bingo card(s) and a Zoom link.

On the day of the event, we will have 15 rounds.  The Bingo cards re-set at the start of each round.  Prizes will be as follows:

1 - $100 Amazon Gift Card

2 - $50 Amazon Gift Cards

12 - $25 Amazon Gift Cards

Winners will be emailed their gift card after the event.  All proceeds will be donated to Harvester’s Food from the Bar campaign to benefit those in need in our area.

Did you know?

  • Harvesters spent nearly $10 million more in food purchases last year than the year prior, largely due to supply chain challenges, increased need and inflation.
  • Compared to pre-pandemic, Harvesters is seeing an increase of 20% more people requesting their help.  The number of people at risk of hunger in our area remains high and is now estimated to include 1 in 6 children.
  • Food from the Bar was moved closer to summer to help bridge the gap for families who can’t rely on school meals to help feed their children during those months.
  • Because of the reduction in terms of donations, food drives and volunteers during COVID, Harvesters has had and is continuing to have higher costs related to acquiring, storing and distributing food.
  • To continue to meet the needs of the community, Harvesters anticipates they will need to continue spending $500,000 to $800,000 per month to buy food.

If you can’t make the event but would still like to support Food from the Bar, please visit the KCPA Virtual Food Drive website at:  Harvesters General 2022: Kansas City Paralegal Association - Harvesters - The Community Food Network (convio.net).  If you are interested in volunteering for Harvesters, please visit:  https://www.harvesters.org/how-to-help/volunteer.  Thank you for supporting Harvesters and the incredibly important work they do in our community!
